Ostarine (MK-2866) also known as Enobosarm is a quite well-researched relatively mild yet very selective molecule that enhances male sex hormone effects that help to build muscle and strenghten joints and bones. Due to its mild nature and high selectivity, it is suitable for women; in men, it nearly does not suppress endogenous testosterone production. In addition, it’s side effects have appeared none or minimal, comparable to that of placebo. In the many clinical studies, 3 mg dose has yielded positive results without suppression of endogenous male sex hormone, and thus that dose appears the most reasonable dose. It is considered as a doping substance, and as such, it seems to be quite popular (in higher doses ranging from 10 to 35 mg that neccessitate post-cycle treatment), perhaps due to its relatively long history.
Its effects include:
- Increased muscle mass and strength
- Reduced fat mass
- Most likely, improvement of bone strength

Cardarine is agonist of PPAR? receptor that intensifies lipid metabolism. It makes the body to use lipids more effectively – the metaphor of “lipid burning” seems very much applicable. It seems to have an effect that must be very attractive in association with typical adverse effects of the western diet. Cardarine alone is most probably insufficient to cause weight loss without altering the energy intake / energy use balance. The effects of cardarine appear as quite exact opposite to the stereotypical “bad western diet”, including alteration of “bad” LDL and “good” HDL cholesterol levels. It has different effects in different doses according to clinical studies:

Cardarine has immunomodulatory properties (it lowers IL-6 levels). Cardarine and PPAR-delta in general is under scrutiny because it can support or suppress tumor cell activity. Cardarine is considered as a doping substance.
- Increased endurance
- Improvement of blood profile that has been associated with high-carb high-fat diet
- Immunomodulation (reduction of IL-6)
- Weight gain in higher doses
